New PSU....Dead on arrival?

Today I finally recieved my new PSU to put in my tower after my old one crapped. I have been using a temporary 450w BFG PSU just so I have a system. This is the new PSU I got

I plugged everything in today and when trying to boot the fan lights would come on but only half as loud as they usually are... I checked all connections and still scratching my head. No boot or anything, not even a BIOS beep. So I pulled it out and plugged the 450w back in and booted no problem. This is my current mobo...

I have a feeling its DOA but wanted to get other feedback, its a pretty good rated PSU and thats why I bought it.

Most likely its not providing enough power. Definately rma it. Yeah its a good recommended unit but you will still get bad ones.

It is deffinatly enogh power.A cheap 450 watt powers it, a nice 650 watt deffinatly will.Yeah, just send it in and get a new one.

I didn't say it wouldn't do the job, I just said that the unit wasn't providing enough power to power the system, meaning its a bad unit. One of the rails must be bad.
