I have a 250 watt psu, and im going to upgrade my pc very soon, Now im wondering, can i add any psu, Like can i just add a 450 watt psu and just remove the other one and hook the new one up to everything and it all go good, or could to much power be bad?????????

Yes you can just add the 450 watt psu to your new one and no to much power is not bad. just make sure you the right connectors for it like a 20 pin motherboard and you have a 20 pin powersupply or a 24 pin motherboard and a 24 pin powersupply.

ok, but how do I know what pin my motherboard is, or can i just look on the current psu and it might say there?????

Well what motherboard do you have? If it's anything relatively new then its probably 24pin. Also, make sure you look at the amperage ratings too, not just the watts of the PSU.

well, Im not sure what mobo i have, I am really just learning pc basics, so im not sure, however i have a hp a1203w micro atx motherboard, and what do the amperage ratings mean?? (thanks for helping out)
