New RAM, computer shuts down

I just installed new RAM on my computer. I went from 512mb to 1024mb. My system is a HP Pavillian a320n AMD Athlon 2800 2.08GHz XP home edition SP1. Everything has been running just fine with a noticable improvement in speed for some programs. The computer recognizes the RAM just fine. The problem is this... I go to start a jet fighter game I have and it starts with some flickering on the screen and just stops by itself and I'm back to my desktop. I keep trying and it forces my computer to re-start. Sometimes the game shuts off in just a couple of seconds, sometime in a few but no more than 5 seconds. I ran my fix a problem program under help and support and it tested my RAM and found no issues. The game didn't run well with my 512 RAM, it stalled sometimes so I haven't played it in a while. I wanted to see if the new RAM let it run any better now. But it won't run at all now. Anybody got any ideas as to what the problem is? The game or the new RAM? Or what? I don't have the game CD so reloading can't be done. The game is Jetfighter 2015 by Global Star.
Thanks for any help / advice anybody can provide.

OK, re-installed the old ram and everything runs fine. With the new ram the only thing that wouldn't run were the game in question and I tried a couple other games and they won't work either. All other computer programs seem to run fine with the new ram. What's going on? Ideas / suggestions?

I just re-installed the new ram sticks and have the same problem. When I re-strarted I got and error message that I took a picture of, but the "manage attachments" button below is not working right now for some reason so I can't post them yet. Is the new ram bad or what? Everything but different games seems to work fine.

Looks like the new ram is 2.6V, not sure about the old . On the old ram sticker at the bottom it reads "256MB DDR PC2700 CL2.5" is the 2.5 the voltage and is that not close enough?

Found out the problem. Called the manufacturer and thru the process of elimination, the ram is not compatible with my computer:mad: . Thanks stranglhold for your help:)
