One way or another I'd avoid the E6600. The Q6600 is a great option for a little more, but if you don't want to spend the extra money, the E6750 is cheaper than the E6600 and significantly better.

How do you plan on using this system? For gaming? Letting us know what you plan on using it for would help us help you.

ok, this system is going to be 95% for gaming, looking to play HIGH end games and im going for windows vista.
i dont really mind about the overkill RAM, i wanna stay ahead of the times :D ha
iv'e got a 650w coolermaster PSU and coolermaster stacker 832 already purchased.

i can answer any other questions too

oh and you could call K3rupt my "personal adviser"

im looking mainly to purchase off umart but if any1 knows of better Australian sites im open for suggestions.

thanks

Might change the Graphics card to the one recommended

EVGA e-Geforce 8800GTX, 768MB, PCI-E $768.95

You didn't mention anything about the CPU though.. You say you want to be ahead of the times so I figure the q6600 I linked to is a given?

im going to go for a Intel ATX E6850 CORE 2 DUO 3GHz/4MB CACHE/1333FSB/LGA775
as i dont see the need for a Quad core yet.

the only thing left is im not sure about the mother board, its like the cheapest thing in list lol

Cheers guys, iv'e come down to this now.

Yep, that totaled up is a nice system :D

E6850 outperforms a Q6600 at the moment, once games supporting the Quad's start coming out then you might wanna upgrade :) They will be much cheaper by then too.
