Hi, I have just finished putting together my new rig, all seemed well untill I turn it on, power seems to be getting everywhere, graphics card, fans, green flashing light on cd drive, and my CPU fan is also working, the problem I am having is I get nothing on my monitor and a been every one or two secs coming from my system, does anyone have any ideas??

Sorry meant a beeb!!!!

My system configs of

I7 4770k
Msi z87-g45
Asus GeForce 660
16gb of corsair vengeance at 2133 ( only 8gb in at then min)
Aerocool 800w power supply
128gb solid state
2tb hard drive

You get all the standoffs under the board in the right places? After that reseat everything, card, memory and power connectors. A beep like that can mean a short or something not connected right. You got the CPU 4/8 pin power connector plugged in?

And make sure all hearders are in properly. I installed a USB header in upsidown once, and it wouldnt boot up.

The standoffs were already in place when the case arrived and matched up fine with the motherboard, I will check all the power cables again and reset everything, not sure if mine matches those beebs, it one short beeb every second and it doesn't stop, it just keeps beeping, I am off to work now will will try all the suggested comments and update you later, thanks for the help

Ok guys so far I have checked everything and the beeb was still there, sounded like it was cuming from the hard drives, so I removed them one by one and tried them both on there own and it seems be be my 2tb hard drive making the beeb. When I plug this in it stops computer from booting, it's a brand new drive so does this mean its goosed??

I assume the beeper is by the HDD, and a computer will still start up with a broken HDD. Did you try trying each RAM stick individually? If that doesn't work, it sounds like the CPU is broken. Did you bend any pins?

I have it booting up, it just seems to be when I have the 2tb drive connected that it won't boot, I have not tried it it a different slot yet, but at the minute a can freely get into the bios ect, could the hard drive be dead?

So, when the HDD isn't connected there are no beeps and you can go in the UEFI? But when it is connected, it will beep and not boot up?

That seemed to be the case, however I have now moved the slot it was in and it seems to be working fine now with no beebs, however my ssd is being picked up in the bios but is not being found by windows during the os install.

Ok bud thanks very much for all your help, a will keep you posted on how it goes, don't know what a would do without this forum haha cheers again

Your welcome. BTW, DONT install the software from the Seagate site unless you have a Seagate HDD. I only showed you the article for the HDD installation in the case, not for the software.

Hi, I have computer booting up and windows 8 installed, but I still can't get the comp to recognise my other hard drive, and when the drive plugged in, it still beebs every second for around half a minute, then it stops but it connot be found in the bios either, puzzled.

I followed the link you gave but I don't have an option in the bios for auto detect drive( would have thought it would do that anyway, it has with the ssd).

Hmm that's odd. It's possible the drive is bad. Try trying the support forums for your board and hdd, then if it doesn't work try RMAing the HDD.
