New setup time

The setup in my sig is almost three years old, and I made a deal with my dad that if we got a new computer, he could take the one in my sig, and I'd get the new one (so long as I paid for the GPU). So, I'm thinking about going ti ibuypower.com and making myself a new PC. Here's what I think:

CPU: either a C2D E6850, or a QX6600
RAM: 2GB
GPU: 8800 GTS 640MB
PSU: Case comes with a 420 watt PSU

Which processor should I go with, and should spring for the 8800GTX? When are the new Nvidia GPU's coming out?Including 64-bit Vista, the above setup will be $1232 from ibuypower.

What is the exact spec of the build you make in ibuypower.com?

And what is your budget?
People here will suggest that you build your own and avoid buying from ibuypower.
that would include me. :D

Ok, if that is the case, post the build that you have made from ibuypower here so people here can comment on it and give you better suggestions.

But as a general guideline,
- DDR2-800 RAM 2GB (2x1GB)
- 32-bit OS is fine (don't have to go 64-bit)
- Intel Q6600 if you want to go quad core (QX6600 you listed might be a typo)
- 8800GTX would be nice if it doesn't break your budget, otherwise 8800GTS 640MB you listed is perfectly fine. Or you could wait a little while because they say that 8800GT is coming out and it is rumored to be better than 8800GTS with just about $200-$250.
- Get another PSU, usually PSU that comes with the case is unreliable. Some where around 600W I believe should be sufficient. Wait until others comment further about this.

I think this are the main ones.
But yeah... post the build you have.
