Looking at these components for my grand-daughters new system that I would like to build. It will be used for reg. surfing and NO gaming as she is only 10.I wiuld like to know if this is to high end for her needs and should I think about maybe going with Intel in place of AMD? Would like to know if parts are compatible and any suggestions on changes to bring it down to a budget system.I would like to stay in the $500. range if possible.

AMD Sempron 64 2800 Palermo 800MHz FSB Socket 754
Corsair 1Gb (2x512Mb) 184 pin DDR SDRM DDR400(pc3200)
AMS PP-4603eps12V 460Watt PS
Sapphire 100118 RD RadeonX550 128Mb DDR PciExpress x16 Vid
Abit NV8 Socket 754 NVIDIA nForce4-4x Mobo
Seagate Barracuda 7200.7 80GB Serial ATA150
Mitsumi 1.44Mb Floppy
Lite on Black IDE Combo CD DVD drive ModelSOHC 5236v
Coolermaster Centurian 540 rc-540 skn1 no power supply.

Is there anything else that might be needed to complete the system.I do not need monitor, mouse, or keyboard. I will look for speakers at a later date. Thanks

could lower the HDD to 40gb, the ram to 512mb and you could get a cheaper video card or just use the intergrated video.

A little help with vid purchase. If I don't want a sep. vid card how do I determine what will have an unboard vid? Will there be any diff. in quality or system performance? Thanks

of course there will be a difference with sys performance with onboard vid. the problem with it is it doesnt have its pwn gpu, it shares with the cpu. quality will only factor in with gaming so u dont need to worry about that. if all she is doing is using internet and office tools(im sure shell use it for school too), then onboard vid is fine. the motherboard u have selected does have onboard vid. so u can drop that video card and save money or put it towards a better proc which is what i would do.
