hello all. i am not new to building computers but i am new to this forum. i finally upgraded my system to the amd 8150 from a crappy intel dual core. The point im getting at is that i have a thermaltake chaser mk-1 case and i have bought all the extra fans that do not come with the case and put them in the proper place(exhaust or intake) according to the case specifications.
The fan placements are, 2 200mm top exhaust, 1 200mm front intake, 1 140mm rear exhaust, 1 120mm bottom intake, and i side(window) 200mm intake. Those are as thermaltake recommends. However to the left of my computer is my 42" plasma tv which you know creates a lot of heat. right below my tv is my ps3 and my cable box all sitting on top my my mini fridge which all release a lot of heat.
so my question is...should i switch the window fan(intake) to exhaust seeing as how it might be dragging all that heat into my system which i do not need as i am overclocking. Does anyone have any insight as to if thermaltake made the fan direction in the right place? any help will be appreciated thanks!

That setup that you described is the normal way a manufacturer would point the fans. What kind of idle/load temps are you getting? For the CPU and the GPU? If they're within safe temps with the TV on, then there shouldn't be a problem. If you're getting too high of temps, switching the side fan to exhaust might help, or just find a new place for your computer.

currently my idle is around 33-36c and thats with cpu fan about 80% up(otherwise it sounds like a jet engine) as well as the rest in my case. my gpu is at 45 but i can raise that fan manually. The reason i ask to switch it or not is because even my openGL screensaver brings my cpu temp to about 44c. Those temps seem a little steep for having my fans almost all the way up. thanks for the tip btw

I just don't want my system close to 50c constantly without putting pressure. I don't want to decrease the life of my processor. Thanks
