I am looking into getting my wife a iPad but do not know anything about them. I would like to know which one is the best the iPad 2 the Mini iPad one with 16 GB , 32 GB or 64 GB?

My wife has ALS and I feel that this would be very good for her to communicate with and be able to see the family that lives out of State.

Need help on which one would be the best buy and which one has the highest rating with the less amount of trouble and is very friendly for users to use.

It all comes down to what she/you prefers. The Ipad 2 or mini is just a matter of screen size and regarding the 16,32 or 64GB it's a matter of how much do you want to store on it. Do you want to have lots of videos, photos and other files? Go for bigger storage size.

Can someone please tell me what the difference is between the iPad and the iPad Air 2?

I would like to get my wife one that is very nice and easy to hold. Is a 16 GB big enough or should one get a 32 GB remember she has ALS and she will more than likely use it to talk, watch moves and SKYPE with it and later on she could be doing more with it.

iPad air 2 is just slightly more powerful. It might be a tad bit thinner, almost unnoticeable possibly. My sister still uses the original iPad, 2nd version and it still does what she does, video chat and browsing the web. I would say the only time you need to get a new or upgrade your iPad model is when you play video games on it and want to keep up with the graphics.
