new to the site need help with build

hi 1st of all just wanna say hi as im the new boy in class.
Im planning on building a new desktop pc, so im after some help iv built many before but this was about 5years ago so not completly novice but they were all normal desktops ie nothing special. now im after a pc that can handle video editing and music editing, I do a bit of dj'in now and again so would like to be able to mix about music.
what i would like to ask is what specs should i go for as the last build i did 1gb ram was very good lol and a 120gb hd was enough......how times change
so if anyone can help wicked:good:

need the lot mate got loads of spare parts here but going from scratch on this one not got any real price of yet maybe around 750ish tops and dont have any set shops either so the world is my oyster

and you say "need the lot"...you mean as in monitor,mouse keyboard aswell or just the tower unit itself? :)
 
sorry not updated my profile im in birmingham uk england. iv got the monitors i have 3 samsungs which i would love to link all together do need a keyboard and wanted poss a tablet pad ?

I put a sound card in the build list too,As you said you liked too do music editing. :)

You could probably drop the 5670 graphics card and go something a little lower if you want to save money,as you said you wont be doing any gaming..
