ok, i'm looking to buy an hd lcd tv. i'd like it to be able to run 480p - 720p. i would also like it to be cpu compatible. i think you guys should know what i mean. my uncle has one. freaking nice too. any way, my budget is $500. and i'm thinking somewhere between 22-26 inches. any suggestions?

I'm sure you can get a monitor somewhere for around that price. At the computer markets they have a lot of monitors around the place. I was looking for a monitor especially for my desk, it was more wide than anything, but I tell you what, it was worth it. I think I paid $200 for mine. But anyway, just try looking around.

the reason i'm asking is because, when it comes down to brands, i have no idea who has the best quality. i thought about going to wal-mart...but they make me nervous.

Oh ok, well if you find a LogicTech monitor, I find them pretty good.

But I think my monitor is a ProVision or something monitor.

Sorry, I'm not actually at home, but I know it's ProVision and it's pretty good.

There are alot of quality Lcd/Tv monitors but the brands that i would go for would be Sony, LG or Panasonic only because they are known worldwide as being reliable and can last the distance over other brands.

I wouldn't trust sony with TV monitors. They can be hazadous apparently...Or maybe that is just with plasmas...Meh

That's my personal opinion.

I've been in the market for one for about 5 months. I just purchased one about 2 weeks ago, and in my opinion it's the best for the money, and you must get it. It's a Samsung SyncMaster 245BW. It's a 24 inch monitor with 1920x1200 resolution. I got it at best buy for 550 which is a great price in my eyes.

Hey Nexolus,

I am thinking about purchasing that same monitor you have, but I want to make sure that Samsung is using a Samsung panel. Do you know what to look for?

Apparently you can have them open it up and it should say something along the lines of S-panel on it. I dunno. Any of them should be good. I do a huge amount of image editing/graphic design on it so I'm a stickler for quality, and it's perfect.

Would you mind taking a picture of the back panel?
