Hey everyone, I need some help with a computer. I have a computer, have upgraded it to what it is, but it cannot go much further. I am giving this to my Fiance, so she can have something to play with, game wise as well. Now, I am building a new computer on a budget. I have the majority of it down to under 500 USD. Now, if I can make this cheaper, that is best. The point of posting this is to make it cheaper. Like, if there is a cheaper motherboard alternative instead of the one I have.
1. The motherboard I have chosen the following motherboard, by Gigabyte. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128514
The motherboard can be a micro motherboard, if there is a good one, doesn't have a high failure rating, good eggs on newegg. Also, if it can be, I would prefer it black, it would go with the color scheme, but this isn't a deal breaker at all. I am using a XFX HD 7850 2 GB GPU, it is more then enough for what gaming I do, so I really only need one slot for the GPU. This is 144 is total.
2. The case I want is the HAF Xb, it is a cube case made by coolermaster. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811119265
It's already a cheap case, and I really do like it. It can handle full motherboard, or a micro. It also has great airflow from the reviews I've read online. I would be adding a 200 MM fan to the top of it too. I would prefer to stick with the case, unless there is a cheaper cube style case that would work, that looks nice, and has good airflow. This is 99 dollars, with 20 for shipping. So 120 would be total cost.
3. I have the GPU, so this isn't a cost at all. No cost here.
4. PSU - I have a coolermaster PSU, I will upgrade this part later on. It's new, no issues there, works great, higher end PSU. So no cost here
5. RAM - I was thinking some Vengeance RAM, 4 GB. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820233141
This is 24 dollars, for a single stick.
