I mentioned this problem in a diffrnet post but its really bothering me so I figured its new post worthy. Kinds jacked my own thread. lol. Anyway I just installed my new 7900GTO. Right when I booted up I noticed how blurry everything was.. Figured it would clean up with drives but it never did. Games look fine but text and my desktop look horrible.. it hurts my eyes to look at it.
It looks like the monitor is trying to display evetything 2 or 3 times in diffrent areas that are very close to eachother. when I look at one letter im typing I can see basicly a shadow to the right of it 2-3 times. Its VERY noticable when looking at green text on a blue baclground (teamspeak).
I am using an older 22" dell M1110 CRT montior.
I needed to use a DVI to VGA adapter
I used the same DVI to VGA adapter with my ATI Radion X1650 and it was crystal clear.
I did not change VGA cables at all either.
I have tried refresh rates from 60-150 but they all look bad. I have taken pictures and had other people look at them and had people connect threw RealVNC and it clear to them.
Any ideas or sugestions?.. I dont like this blurry stuff at all..if there is any more info I can provide let me know.
thanks
Edit: Just found a good word that describes it "ghosting"
Edit#2: I just tried it on an older 15" CRT and its clear as day. So I have isolated ther problem to the VGA cable and or monitor.. most likely the monitor has gone down hill.. maybe I bumped it or somehting?.
