I know they're making the 9800X2 soon... but what about like a 9800GTS or GTS?

Are graphics cards gonna take a price drop soon once this comes out? I really want a 8800GTS 512mb version (3rd best card on market now right? Behind new ATI and 8800 Ultra).
 
i would not put my finger on it. see the 2900xt discontinued? but if you try to find places that sells them they are still selling for 500+(igb model)

i say they would lower the 8 series IF the 9 series launch with a msrp that are matching what the 9 series are going for right now.

Cuz I think this 7900GT is giving me some issues and I want a DX10 card. I don't have Vista yet (Waiting for SP1 and see what happens) but the power of the 8800 series cards obliterates my 7900GT.

So I wasn't sure if it was worth me getting the 8800GTS or waiting and see what comes out.

Because to my understanding, it is the 3rd best video card on the market right? Behind the Ultra and new ATI card?
 
if you order it from tiger direct when(if) the 9000 series comes out you can get the equivalent 9000 series card i think from what i understand
