Well my wireless router recently decided to give up. It drops connection frequently and all of my devices have a hard time finding the IP through it to connect in the first place. It's the Linksys WRT54G2 router that I've had for about 4 years. I also own a Linksys E3200 router, but I've never been able to get it to operate correctly. I still need to check to see if it's firmwares up to date, but I think there's just a faulty part in it. Regardless, I'll probably end up buying a new router here soon and I need some help on which would be the best cost-performance-reliability choice. Here are the ones I've been eyeballing lately:
Netgear N600 WNDR3400
Actiontec GT784WN
Linksys E1500
So those are the one's I've looked at. I've liked Linksys, besides the E3200 I own. Netgear seems highly reputable, and the actiontec was one that TDS Telecom had us use as a modem/router combo when we had their service and it worked like a charm. I left Belkin out, because I've heard nothing but bad news from all of their routers in the past few years, but I have an open ,mind to them if they are suggested, as long as there's reputable evidence to support that it doesn't suck. Now I would personally rather fix the E3200 than buy a new one, so any help with how I could fix it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your help and advice.
