Newbie in need of help! 'is3Base5.dll'??

I don't know too much about computers but I've recently purchased a new laptop with McAffee virus protection. For some reason it's stopped working and whenever I try to install different Anti virus software it can't because the file 'is3Base5.dll' is missing. I've skimmed the internet and all I could find is that It's potentially a virus. :mad:

I'm not sure how to fix it and could really do with some advice!

If you cannot install any antivirus software on that computer,you will need to take HDD out,plug it on some other computer via USB connection as an external HDD and then scan that external HDD using a good antivirus software on that other computer.
Just be sure that the antivirus protection is enabled on that other computer before you plug that external HDD in that other computer otherwise you can transfer the viruses on that other computer too!
Also be sure that the antivirus software on that other computer is a good one,correctly configured and also updated!

If you do not have 2 computers,try to install Malwarebyter Anti-Malware software,update it and then perform the FULL SCAN in the SAFE MODE.When you are asked what drives you want to scan,select ALL OF THEM!
