Newbie need help. Upgrade Memory for Laptop

Hmmm, can i upgrade my memory of my laptop on my own? Is it risky? And where can i noe which memory is suitable for me?
 
It's usally quite easy. Most laptops have a little pannel that you can easilly remove and then gain access to a little slot similar to desktops. Check a site like newegg, most of them have memory sections for laptops.

DVD-RW
Intel GMA 900 Shared up to 128Mb
60Gb HDD 4200 Rpm
