Hi there,
I have a rather old Sony Vaio laptop which is running on Windows ME.
I only want this laptop to be able to connect to the internet and because it doesnt have an ethernet port, PC World have just recommended that I buy a Wired Gigabit USB Network Adapter, to which I just have done.
Ive just tried to install it and it is now asking me to put in the original Windows ME CD to complete the driver installation but unbelievably I cant find the CD.
Can anyone advise what the next best step is please?
Ive just tried to see if I can buy another ME disk but main sites want nearly £100 and I dont really want to pay this when its only to connect now and again to my internet.
The laptop isnt wireless and it wouldnt seem to take a wireless adaptor previously (although thinking about it now, this may be because I dont have the original disk)
Im not the best technical minded when it comes to computers so hoping someone can advise me here.
Many Thanks in advance
