Newbie question. Accessing files on mini mac

I used a mini mac for years. Enjoyed it and all that. I recently moved to a new city, and got a new PC. I enjoy it also. I have a new service provider naturally in the new city (cable, no wireless). My question is can I get my files and photos off the old mini mac by hooking it up to my new web access provider? If not, how can I access those files on the old mini mac and download info for transfer to new PC? Thanks... William
 
Have you tried just using a USB stick or drive to copy the files from the Mac Mini to the PC? If you are running one of the newer OSX versions, you should be able to plug in the Mac to the network and Windows will see it. If not, you'll have to configure SAMBA so Windows can see the Mac. I'd recommend using the USB stick method to be honest.
