I have a Asus A7V8X baord with a AMD Atholn 2400+ about two yrs old. Is there any software that I can use to overclock this thing. It's only running at 2000 ghz right now it says I need a 400 fsb to run at 2400 what ever that means. This is somewhat a foreign language to me so please help.

First, welcome to Computer Forum. Second, read our Overclocking 101 (Oc101). After reading that, we can answer your remaining questions.
That Asus has a VIA KT400 chipset, I am pretty sure it doesnt have a locked PCI bus so your not going to get much of a overclock out of it.
