Hi Folks, this is just a quickie to introduce me as a new member. I am Oppy, a 65 year old numpty !!! with a laptop problem, can anyone help me ?? I am the proud owner of a Medion Akoya MD 96640 15.4" laptop. My son tells me that the screen has died, can anyone offer any help or advice or should I just bin it and start saving up for a new one.

Do you get a black screen or explain exactly what its doing?

Have you got a spare monitor?
Plug it in to see if it is only faulty of screen panel.

No matter what is the cause if it's over three years old, get a new laptop and enjoy your life.
