I bought the same RAM a little over a month ago for around $130.

Same thing happened to me. One week the RAM i wanted was at one price and a few weeks later when I had to the money to buy it NEwegg bumped the price up $10.00. I was mad - Should have bought it earlier.

Supply and demand dictates the selling price. Just like gas.

This is completely normal. Some of you may be too young to remember this but several years ago there was an earthquake over near Singapore which delayed shipments of RAM and damaged some factories so the cost of RAM shot up over night, to almost double the cost.

Its how capitalism works, supply and demand and overhead cost and profits.
