hello

i recently upgraded my old ati 9200 se 128 mg video card to a sapphire ati 9600 atlantis 256 meg 8x agp and i am curious on the best easy way (safe of course lol) to do a overclock - and to mention this ati card is the non pro version

my pc

amd athlon xp 2000+
sapphire ati 9600 atlantis 256
gigabyte 7vrx motherboard
256 kingston ddr ram - 2700
dual o.s. - win98 se - mandrake linux 9.0


cpu temps at idle or regulary at 51-52 dregress

currently i have the video card set at 800x600 at 70hz

Yep, then use the Find Max Core and Find Max Mem. ATiTool then starts to slowly increase the core and/or mem clock frequency while testing for artifacts. When an artifact occurs the clock frequency is then decreased by a small increment. It also starts a heat-up phase which loads the GPU and checks for stability, the heat-up phase is started after a certain period of time and you should let it run it. Don't do anything while ATiTool is doing these, though.
