nForce 4 vs. nForce 5?

I just relized my mobo has an outdated chipset. It uses the nForce 4 chipset. Would it be worth it at all to get another ASUS board with the new nForce 5 chipset? I do plan on keeping this CPU for as long as i can, and will eventually upgrade PSU and video card to power a new 8800GTS when money comes available.

Would it be worth the extra $100-$200 or so?

Do they even make nForce 5 for socket 939?

nvm just looked it up, only for AM2. Anyway, would my mobo need an upgrade? Could i get better? I like this mobo, but iv heard some bad things about it, does ASUS make any higher end mobos for the 939 and if so would it be worth the upgrade?

If your keeping all your current components, IMO it wouldnt be worth it to upgrade, especially since you would most likely have to reinstall everything.

I agree with [-0MEGA-], you would be better of just getting a new mobo when the 'money becomes available' and you get a 8800gts.

Dont forget to buy a better PSU :)

And I thought you said you werent into gaming, thats why you still have the 7300.

Yea, the PSU comes first and i am into gaming, just not so much anymore. The 7300GS was just a budget card since my entire new setup had to be PCI-E i didnt have the money for a good card.
