Nice Keyboard?

I assume people have their own opinions about what the best keyboard is so cud u guys list some good keyboards but its gotta be under a hundred bucks..

Define "nice", SpeedDevil :) Do you mean for appearance? Reliability? Gaming? Office work? Price? Comfort? What looks cool may not be worth a darn for touch typing, or gaming. A gaming keyboard may drive someone that touch types like me nuts with numb keys. Priorities, man. ;)

For instance, my idea of a nice keyboard is the plain Compaq PS/2 Enhanced professional model that I got for $15 brand new a few months ago. These went for like $60 a few years ago. It's heavy, quiet, very comfortable, and built like a battleship for years of hard office use. Ugly as anything, but it will definitely outlast my next three or four computers.

Hehe, yeah, I got a really nice used IBM PS2 keyboard I'll sell you for $100 *snickers* Those darn things last forever!

Hehe, $100 is a bit much to expect to pay for a keyboard. I mean I've gotten new ones for $7! But of course, it depends what you want to do with it...

If you're looking for a good gaming keyboard, the ZBoards are really nice, customizable boards. The main unit runs around $60, I think and then you can buy add-on portions that are around $20 that are specific to a certain game. Many have come out for Diablo 2, BF2, BFME2, and many others! (sorry if that sounds like an ad. :))

Man i've never given a damn about keyboards. just by a $10 cheap p.o.s whats the differance?
Just try to touch-type office documents, or write a book, or even post to forums with a POS keyboard. I guarantee it will be uncomfortable and you'll be ready to break it over your knee in frustration. There's key pressure, the shape of the keys, the curve of the key rows, how quiet or noisy the key clicks are... even the size and shape of the Enter key makes a difference.
Think of it this way: that's like asking what is the difference between guitars, or musical instrument keyboards, or even mice. The keyboard is how you as a human being interact with the PC.
You get what you pay for.

I used to have the G15, it was a nice keyboard with good features, but it locked up ocassionaly on me when i was playing FPS games.

If you want a good keyboard under $100- in fact under $40- usually found at
retail stores even some Microsoft models come to mind. The latest model used here now to replace an MS Internet Pro can be looked over at: http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/mouseandkeyboard/productdetails.aspx?pid=030 For the office type as well as web browsing the sliding tab on the left side can make life easier magnifying text.

Yet you wouldn't stop at one model by going to http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/mouseandkeyboard/productlist.aspx?type=Keyboard The prices on these compete with Logitech models at office supply and other retail outlets. The cordless models will always cost more. So a good selection to look over is even better. http://www.bizrate.com/buy/products__cat_id--493,keyword--microsoft keyboards.html
