Nightmare please help

Things are going from bad to worse. Have had problems since intalling new hard drive. Have also installed more ram.

Now I can't get into some files/folders such as add/remove programs also some internet pages I can't get into. I am on Wanadoo and the home page is now looking slightly odd as everything is down the left hand side and and I have to scroll down to see all the home page. Have been into view etc on the menu bar but no joy.

Anyone got any suggestions before I bin this thing.

Try using another browser and see if the same problem with internet pages is still there.

Regarding the inability to access some files and folders, it's possible that the new hard disk is corrupted, this is just a possibility, you will have to run a scan disk on it to check.

There is another possibility if you got the new hard disk pre formatted, it might have some partitions formatted in an NTFS files system. If this is the case and you are using an older version of windows, you might not be able to access the NTFS partitions because they don't support them, actually you won't see the partitions at all in windows 95 or 98.

Please post more information about what happened, what is your computer specs and what is the specs of the RAM and the Hard Disk you added, this will help a lot to know where the problem actually is.
