Nintendo revolution controller

Hehe, did they just post this info as you are the 5th person to mention this on a site I go to ;P Persaonlly, I hate it. I've not really used a Game Cube controller, but I will say I loved the N64's controller. Perhaps a converter will be out soon enough ;)

Rather off topic, however, I feel the need to mention that the person in that picure has some smooth looking skin!

The PlayStation 3 controller looks a bit strange also.

i think it will be a big flop, and i bet sony will get complaints for the ps3, but i think xbox will do very well.

Ya, i saw this the other day and i was like WTH? i would rather have the oldschool nintendo controller. Like the square one that hurts ur hands, but hey, its still the awesomest!
also, the ps3.....idk if thats the final controller model thingy.......

c'mon, this is nintendo here...have some faith, remember how weird the n64 looked untill you actually used it.
the design is in mind for players to use it in either left or right hand so you can switch.
it also allows for more hand freedom, rather than restrict your hands to be close together, it allows more freedom to let your hands relax farther apart.
the buttons are few for simplicity but have 4 shifts so each button can be used for 4 different things...despite its weird look i'm sure its no doubt comfortable and users will get used to it quickly.

i also found this pic of thier controller and its completely different so dunno what is what

i like the ps3 controller, i bet it feels the same but i like its futuristic look.

I would agree with you, except the buttons on the right are so spread out I don't think it would be comfortable in that aspect. It doesn't even look as though the person holding it could hit the (bottom) A button, or control the D-Pad from the way their right hand is positioned.

Heh... don't get me wrong it looks... original! However, I don't think it is a practical controller layout.

i like it actually,.. it finally something completely new :D

but i dont think they'll release a wireless version of it, because then you would get scenes like " where is the other half of my gamepad?" :P

Everyone forgot to mention the whole reason they made the controller like that. It works as a pointer device. By the moving the controller you can move stuff on the screen. For example in a FPS you could aim just by moving your hand with out using any control or analog pad. Think of the possiabities. You could swing a sword in a game by swinging your hand like you swinging the sword (think of a zelda game like this). I not saying I like it but if they design the games that uses it features it could be a very new unique gaming experience like nothing before.

Acutrally that analog part you see in the piciture proberly wont be needed in most games if they program the games correctly.

even if you could do that, if your moving the arrow keys and joystick, how could you hit the buttons on the bottom?
