Nintendo Revolution!!

Im assuming this is your site? Because the only 2 posts youve made have been about consoles, and both linking ot that site. And yea, those controllers look awful

I think its awsome. I know there are ups and downs on controllers but its something extraordinary I guess thats one reason why Nintendo called it "Revolusion". You just never know until you experience it, I like the controllers, it will take sometimes to get use to Revolusion controllers after playing PS2 & X-Box :-)

I dont like the Nintendo Revolution, i think the controler is extremely messed up, and its not as good graphics wise as the Xbox360 or PS3. And IMO, there arent as many good games for it.

Nobody sees the big picture :). Nintendo has always been about the kids. I know Nintendo is great and has adult (some) games also but still If I were buying a kid a console it would always have been a Nintendo. Now before everyone screams at me because you are not a kid and simply love Nintendo hear me out. The controller! You have obviously seen it right? How long do you think it will take little Timmy or Susie to loose that thing or parts of it? This will become a large problem and then parents will want to stop buying Nintendo products... I can see it now. Now if I where to buy a game console for a child I would take the new Nintendo controller in consideration and possibly not purchase it.

The link wasn't really loading for me so I just didn't bother...

Last I checked(fairly recently) the controller was actually rather innovative. You had the wireless remote thingy, but you also had a controller similar to the GameCube which as kinda cool. Now I only used a GC controller a few times and didn't care for it, but that is kind of neat.

But all in all, I don't plan to get one, or a PS3, or an Xbox 360. I'm happy with my gamming machine ;)

it's like any other controller only it's held differently and it has a little sensor or whatever at the end. Parents didn't complain about gameboy advance because the kids could lose the cartridges. I think its going to be great because you can download games for nintendo 64, gamecube, super nintendo, and nintendo onto its hard drive (which I hope is either big or can be easily replaced with a pc one). As long as its not like nintendo DS where they said that there would be thousands of third party developers and tons of cool features and there wasn't I will probably buy it.

The only reason why I would get a Revolution is for the old classic games like Mario Party and Mario Kart. Those were the true "classic" multiplayer games. However, I just hate those controllers! But then again as Blue said, it's for the kiddies and I've read it's suppose to be easier for the oldier people too. After owning an XBOX I decided that I would just stick with the PC, considering the fact many of the XBOX's great games would come out on PC and they would look even better anyway:D

well if you hold it sideways its just like an original nintendo controller (which weren't very confortable).

Average controller is 1 unit with a cord attached. Some might take a memory cartridge of sorts (sega, Nintendo). I count at least 4 pieces that are removable. You have not had many 5 year olds around have you?

Parents didn't complain about gameboy advance because the kids could lose the cartridges.

That is because there really was not an alternative right? Games have always come on cartridges or Cd's (some sort of media).

I'm not saying it won't be great. But as soon as pieces start getting lost no one will think so. If I'm a parent looking for a system for my children then Nintendo had better have other controllers or my business is lost :P. Many others will share this attitude.

yes the controller is awful, but what it does is wonderful!

if anyone wants to see the clip, let me know and i can direct you to it.

they are also making a standard gamecube type controller where you plug the controller in and it works and plays just like a gamecube controller. and yes i will probably be getting one.

I'm not sure if you all have knowledge of what the controller actually does, but I may be wrong. The controller is like a light gun for the PS2, but completley wireless. You point and aim, and you shoot. No more second joystick. Want to swing a sword? just make a slashing movement with your controller. This feature will make FPS waaay better.

you do realize that all the controllers are wireless right, i see no difference between the ease of losing or breaking the revolution controller vs any of the competitors.

dont look for flaws that arent there
(if this is a flaw, all three are guilty)

If I wanted to shoot a gun at a screen I would go to the arcade... Unless the technology industry throws the most realistic combat simulator out, I really don't care about shooting things with a controller:rolleyes:

well thats y people want the shoot at a screen b/c they dont want to go the arcade and pay up to $1 everytime they play. have you ever played the duck hunting game from NES or got a gun controller for the PS2 and played area51 or residentevil? its soo much fun its like being at the arcade but in the home and no worring about having enough quarters.

Yea nintendo never rele tryed competing. There in a whole different class of gaming consoles. It would be like comparing a computer monitor with a TV. Similar, yes, but the same, no.

blue i think he was talking about the xbox360 and PS3. not the xbox1 and PS2
If you are going to purchase a product do you not check it's strengths and flaws?
thats the thing. parents who buy things for thier kid do not look at any of that most of the time. from what i see parents take a look at what the kids wants to buy and then decides quickly whether to buy it for the kid or not. and the major deciding facter is the price. Also there are many toys out there with removable parts that can easily get lost. but do the parents still buy it? yes. do comapnies still make toys like that? yes. becuase its just a toy, it sells, and kids have fun with it. well you might say the nintendo is too expensive to be just a toy but in the eyes of some parents and thier kids it is. and usually the parent is watching over the child as he or she plays and makes sure they dont ruin/loose such an expensive toy.

Yes they have fun with it until they loose the parts and thier little brother or sister choke on a part.
if the baby chokes and dies. is it Nitendoe's fault? i believe it would be the parents fault as they are not watching after thier own child. if the parts were a clear danger to a child there would be a warning label on the box saying something along the lines of "Keep away from small children" or "For ages 5 and up". Also if the parent sees the parts as a clear danger to thier baby then they should do something about it. like if the parts are not really important like asseccories that the older child wouldnt even notice if it were gone then the parent can place the parts in a safe place or teach thier older child to make sure he/she puts away the controller in the proper place.

Had to also mention. They do? How does a parent have enough time to sit with the children the whole time they play on a console? I'm sure this happens. I certainly am not dumb enough to argue that it does not. But on the same note there are many parents that won't have that time. There are dishes to do. Yard work to do, house/apartment/auto repairs. While I'm repairing something I would like little Timmy or Jonboy to quietly play on a safe system and not worry about sitting there watching if they loose the pieces. I simply cannot argue with you though as you are "right" but then again... So am "I" . I surely hope anyone reading this realizes that this is over the fact that I was not arguing that the Nintendo controller was flawed due to lack of cord. I was accused of such things though. Understand? Also have you ever seen a child throw a controller in a fit? I have. There is prob. a %100 probability of it happening. What the different parts fly/break and never attach together again .
well if the parent knew it was a potentially dangerous system then they would not have bought it in the first place. also it wouldnt be smart for a parent to just leave a child all alone at a young age of 5...if the parent is doing the dishes at least have the child play in the living room where the parent can just walk 2 steps to see the child. there are also other alternatives. like babysitters. most families now a days have both the mother and father working. so they leave it up to a babysitter.. or they can have thier child play at a friends house where the parent can watch over them. And like i said b4 if it was really dangerous for kids thier would be a warning on the box.
