Nis 2008

I got it a while ago (Norton Internet Security 2008), seems to be running fine (I do scans with it, as well as with SuperAntiSpyware and Spybot S&D, and never find anything bad).
I've heard from people that it's a really great security suite, but takes up a lot of your CPU/RAM (for lack of a better word).
I know everyone here is a total cheap ass (<3 everyone) and will probably tell me to ditch the NIS 2008 and get AVG or something, but my parents are paying for it, and CPU/RAM usage isn't really a problem for me at the moment, so is it the best thing I could be using right now?

Nice to hear from you again ;)
Very few opinions you get will be based on fact, nearly every one will be based on "I've got it so it must be good and anything else is crap". I run the AVG suite which does all I want from it and I'm sure that Norton will do the same for you. In fact the new Norton is not the resource hog it was, so if it works for you then good.

I assume since I haven't found any viruses or anything of that sort with the 3 antivirus scanners I use, and I don't notice a change in performance in my computer, it's fine for me.
Plus, my parents pay for it :D

Oh, and Hi TFT.

Well i use it too, been using Norton for 6 years.

I tried different A-V (AVG, Antivir and other) and Norton gave me the best scan along with Kapersky.

Norton IS 2008 has go better resource wise, it is no more a hog as it used to be and offers even better protection. So as long as money is not a problem, keep it :)
