Looks like I screwed up again - my ignorance knows no bounds!
I bought a power supply which I assumed to be good; my limited knowledge extends as far as knowing that the 12v rail is important, and it has a triple 12v with 18A on each. My current power supply has a single at 25v.
Came in the post today, tried to plug it in and lo and behold - I realise that the graphics card I bought (and was running fine with my previous PSU) a few weeks ago requires a 6 pin connector.
Which my new PSU doesn't have. And my previous PSU does - being around a year and a half old and only 450w, I had assumed that this new one would far surpass it in every way.
So, have I majorly screwed up and bought a 650w piece of junk? A 650w power supply that can never power an independent graphics card?
Any news (even bad) appreciated!
