No aero...

Just upgraded to win7 from vista and the aero doesn't work. It worked perfectly in vista but now the border style is just the win7 basic colour. I have updated the driver for my NVIDIA GeForce 5200 by going into device manager and updating the driver. It says it is up-to-date.

Why doesn't win7 work?

try changing the theme to an aero theme, maybe win7 determined that it thought the 5200 wasnt good enough for aero

Try changing the theme to aero and running the hardware rating test. That usually enables aero.
