no audio

hey i am having trubble with my audio this is what it says cannot play back the audio stream: no audio hardware is available, or the hardware is not responding i have Windows xp pro onbord sound what can i do to fix it
 
Sounds like a driver issue, do you have the installation CD that came with either your computer or motherboard? Because it sounds like you need to re-install the sound drivers.
