No Display in the Screen

Hi,

I have desktop Dell OptiPlex 755 Windows 7 32bits.It is joined to a domain network.

Y cable connected in the VGA port in the back of the computer. One connected to a projector, the other to the monitor (DELL).

There is a display in the projector, but no display in the monitor!

The power button of the monitor is green, means connected to the electricity.

I tried these steps:

1) change monitor.

2)change VGA cable.

3) remove Y cable and connect monitor to the desktop directly through VGA cable.



With all three steps tried I didn't get a display in the monitor.

What is the problem please?
 
Well since a Y-splitter only clones a display, have you maybe set the projector resolution to something the monitor doesn't support?
 
Thank you for your reply. But there is no display even if I didn't use Y-splitter.
From your answer I think may be some setting in the computer that not support monitor if it is right what is that setting?
 
Did it just start happening or you've had this issue since you tried doing this?
