No dual display with 7600 GT?

I used to have a GeForce 7300GS, where I would commonly use dual view, which allowed me to use two monitors, acting independently. I could drag stuff back and forth, but if I maximized the window, it would only fill that monitor, which is what I liked.

Now, I have recently upgraded to an EVGA 7600GT, and the only options it gives me is vertical/horizontal span (also available with the 7300), and clone display. I don't like either of these, as when I try to maximize a window, it takes up both displays, which is inconvenient as there is a large gap in the middle. I liked it better with the 7300, as I was able to run two separate programs maximized on each monitor. Is there anyway to get dual view again with my 7600GT?

I don't know about eVGA, but I know sparkle 7600GT's have dual view, as I have used one before. Try the latest driver from nvidia.com.

All 7600's should be pretty much identical, with a few very minor exceptions here and there. I have an eVGA 7600 and it definetly has duel view.

I didn't have the CD for it... I'm using the latest drivers off of nVidia.

These are all the options I'm given...

It might just be a windows setting, or a setting deeper within the nVidia control panel. Because at work here I have 3 x 17" monitors and I've had the experience of both maximizing to a window and maximizing across 3 screens. The latter only happened a few time, and I'm thinking it's not the default. Go searching man!

You really should be getting the latest drivers, especially the vista ones, the 100.65 driver improved the performance of my 7900GT.
