i dont have the motherboard speaker plugged in because i did not know where to put it and steped on it and it broke. i just bought a new one. and will get in soon. i have looked at other threads and i dont seem to see the problem. lights light up. i also used standoff screws, so i dont think that is it either.

The only thing I can think of is that you need a bios update to support the 7600. Bios version 2.1 or above will support it. It's possible you have an older bios.

By the way, the 4 pin motherboard speaker connection gets attached in the red circled area in the image below.

remove the graphics card.
clear the bios
connect monitor to motherboard
enter bios
set bios for peg, correct ram settings etc, save and shutdown
reinstall gpu
start

i figured that is where the speaker was supposed to go. to bad a broke it before i pluged it in. was not sure what the speaker was for at first since i had speakers in the monitor. but now i know. tried removing the graphics card and started it up but it still does nothing. there is no os on the ssd if that helps any. not sure how to update the bios for the processor if i cant get the the bios. when i go to hdmi it says hdmi no signal and hdmi no signal. the cable for the motherboard and cpu are both in correctly. pulled both out and put both back in and everything.

You need to update the BIOS. Which means you need to buy another CPU that is supported, install that processor, install Windows, run the BIOS update utility, and then install the processor you want to use.

i am not going to shell out for another cpu. i think the manufacture should be responsible for this. dont think it is my fault that the motherboard came with an old bios.

i have done both does not make a difference. there is a computer shop in town i will ask how much it will cost to update my bios.

It's your responsibility to check CPU support before you buy anything :good:

cant do that when i cant see anything on the monitor. the sticker on the chipset says its running bios 2.30 the latest version. i have sent an email to asrock hope i find out what is wrong. i will get my motherboard speaker in soon so i can use it to help troubleshoot. i am pretty sure its not the processor because the fan runs and i can hear the processor running.

i am thinking of redoing the thermal past on the processor but i cant figure out how to get the latch off. i had a hard time getting it on.

DING DING DING DING DING!!!

Thats your problem. Almost 100% sure now you have a bent pin.

never mind i got it from under the hook. i am thinking i installed the processor while it was still locked. processor still looks the same. will it still work.

You have to lift the lever on the side up before inserting the processor. Remove the processor and check the pins for damage. The locking lever on the side locks the processor in place sort of. Lift the lever up, insert processor correctly check orientation and lock lever back down.
