No HDMI(?)

I got the Samsung monitor (see signature) for Christmas and it's performed just fine in HDMI until yesterday. Suddenly, there is no image, just blank screen. I switched to the analog connection and that works fine. Any suggestions as to problem and possible fix?

Any physical changes lately? (shuffling around desk, moving crap, etc).

I'd do the usual verifying both ends are snugly attached, if it's still borked you could try another HDMI cable. Since VGA works you can at least isolate down to that segment.

I've done the following:
-- ran diagnostics on monitor (it says it's OK);
-- made sure cables were snug;
-- downloaded and installed latest driver;
-- switched HDMI cable.

So far, still no HDMI image. I wonder if the sole HDMI port on the m'board might have failed (device Manager doesn't show any problems)? If I had another HDMI monitor I would try that, but that's not an option. I could pull a TV from another room to try, but they're all so big that would be a hassle. But is there any other way to check the signal?

The HDMI is bad on either your GPU or your monitor. I notice you didn't try a different source with your monitor. Plug it into a cable box/ps4, etc and see what happens. I suspect an electrical fault in the port itself on one of those two devices (card/screen)

... The HDMI input on your monitor (and possibly the monitor itself) are pooched.

The monitor is still under warranty, but it appears that Samsung's policy is that I would have to pay shipping, then they would fix or replace as they deemed necessary. So, I would probably (eventually) wind up with a (supposedly) "fixed" monitor. The analog input still works, so I think I'll just live with it as long as it lasts. Thanks for the assistance!
