No image when playing video with a video projector

Every time i try to play a video in my laptop (assus A6VA) and project it on the wall with a video projector i have the same problem. There is no image on the wall but i can see the video on the laptop.
Whow can i solve this problem. I´ve tried all kind of players. The result is allways the same.

Are you using Power4Gear? Can you set it to presentation mode? It usually lowers the resolution down to project to the wall. You can't use a high resolution for it.
