No input from monitor, please help!!
Good morning. I'm having a tough start with my desktop computer this morning and thought I would see if I could get some ideas as to what happened.
Shut down my windows xp desktop last night as always, no problems with it at all. It is an HP system, nearly 3 years old. Booted it up this morning and the monitor did not come on. I hit the menu button and it came on to the screen that said "no input detected" then said monitor was going to sleep. I connected a different monitor and got the same message, so I'm guessing my video card passed away.
The video card is an nvidea 7500 or something in that range, it came installed when I bought the computer. If this is the problem, what would be your recommendation for a replacement. Nothing more powerful really, I just want it to work again without a serious upgrade. I plan to buy a new computer sometime next year anyway, so I don't want to put too much into this one.
Thanks
