MY sound on my comp seems strange. Its from a subwoofer connected to 5 speakers, but on my xp, theres no identified device, but i can change volume. Volume control is no longer in the bottom right and bringing it there doesnt work. My sound works fine tho... However, any internet sound, ie youtube, online music sites, doesnt work. Any insight? Thxx

thx for advice

thisll sound kinda stupid but how would i go about doing that, specially since my systems all behing this shelf unit and wires can't be unplugged, so i would just need to use a computer installation or manual?

thx

It doesn't deal with unplugging anything for the most part. What you would need to do is identify your sound card. Then, find the manufacturer online and get the latest drivers for it. You can find out by going to:
START>RUN>
type in "dxdiag" w/o quotes and move over to the sound tab.

Or you can go into your device manager and look for it. You'll have to type in " devmgmt.msc" instead of dxdiag in the run command.

thx i found out it was a c-media device but the c-media websites gettin an error message, guess ill waitr till tomorrow, it has after all been screwed for like 3 months
