No more keyboard beeps? :D

Well, I've not had this machine for too long, but I play a good bit of Racing games. Most use the arrow keys. Anyone who's tried to use them and say the space button knows most comps will just sit there and beep. Ever since I got my new comp, I've yet to run into this problem. Did Abit fix this? Or perhaps something with...*gasp* my microsoft keyboard! (wow, did they do something right!?)

The keyboard beeping thing is what happens when the keyboard buffer gets overflowed. Easiest route is to increase the size of the buffer (BIOS). Would also help to know what keyboard you've got.

I thin you forgot th red the subject ;P This comp doesn't seem to do it anymore. And it's not that I"m holding so many buttons down. I don't remember the exact combo, but it's like up left and space would normally cause problems, but up right and space would be fine! I've yet to notice a problem with this comp, but it's constant with my others...

On my new comp, I have a Microsoft wireless desktop(Wireless multimedia KB 1.0A) and it runs off PS/2. My old computer has the problem with both PS/2 and USB keyboards, many different kinds.

that annoys me so much when i play vice city on PC and i try and do a doughnut, one combo beeps and doesnt move, the other combo works fine

My Abit boards havnt given me those problems be it K7 or K8. Of course i adjust the keyboard buffer anyways. Of course i never did try those combos hehe. Does the problem appear regardless of whether you have the numlock on or not?
