No network connections

I have just had to re install windows as my hard drive failed.

Windows is installed, and I want to start copying stuff back over through the network.

Trouble is, I do not have a LAN connection showing.

I have a CD that came with the computer with drivers on it, and I have installed all the networking ones. Nothing works.

In device manager, I do not even have a 'networking' reference anywhere.

Any clues - I am litterly pulling my hair out - 4hrs and I still can't do anything.

It is an Evesham computer, and trying to find any online support appears hopless too.

Thanks for any pointers.

No network

may i try to give a sharing with you...

if you use a windows XP OS, and NIC is not inboard with motherboard, a NIC is automatically detected, and is doesn't work, you can try to do this :

1. Take your NIC from an old slot, and put it in another slot in your motherboard. and restart your computer, hopely it's work..

2. If no respond from your NIC, or no blink lamp turn on, i think if your NIC is dead (not function anymore), so nothing you can do, just go out and buy another new NIC....

There's my sharing... i hope it can work....
bye... :)

It was onboard, and a finally found a second CD-Rom that came with the machine, and there was a driver on there. All working now!
