No nonsens player?

I've been looking around for a no nonsens media player for quite a while. I don't need any nice looking crap i just need it to play mp3, wma, wav, avi, mpeg and some other standard video formats would be nice. If there is one with a graphic equalizer in it that wouldn't be bad.

I've already tried evilplayer, foobar2000, wmp 10 + 11,vlc player, bs player, realplayer, quicktime and nero media player (or something like that)
Anyone got experience with this?

Try Winamp if you want a good all round player or iTunes if your more interested in just music or if you ever think you might get an iPod

ohw srry my fault i already tried winamp of course... as for itunes well... it's not my idea of a no nonsense media player it has way to much crap integrated into it and i just don't like the interface

Looks like you've exhausted nearly every major media player out there. You do realise you can customize players like Winamp and WMP10 with new skins and extensions to make them look different or have more features?

try media player classic, does exactly what you need with a play, stop pause and skip button and thats your lot...simple but extremely good

u probaly already have media player classic installed, type mplayer2 in the run dialog

i use a combination of the above, mainly winamp tho.

u could install windows media center edition dunno what the support for that is like

foobar2000 is good in my oppinion.

EDIT: I didn't notice you wanted it to be able to play video files, too.
