no permission

So I got my secondary partition read, but there's some data on my other harddrive that I want to rescue, however, when i dont have permission to access the second harddrive. Is there anyway of getting past this? Or are some of the data on the harddrive lost?

If you simply swapped out drives and are not able to access the old drive with the new Windows installation one alternative method for data retrieval is the use of a Linix Live cd like Knoppix that has a self contained OS on disk rather then installed to the drive. The Live distros will easily read and copy from both Linus and MS partitions onto other drives. Which type pf drive did you replace? SATA or ide?
