No Power to Startup Button

Hey guys, i am having a problem with my gfs computer. It has seemed to just shut down recently. When pressing the startup button, absolutely nothing happens. I have tried different power supplies, checking all the cable connections. The PS gives power to the MB because the green light is on but i have no bootup capabilities. Please help. Gateway running Xp PRo. thats all i know. Its a couple years old and it has a micro atx board.

Did it just random stop working or did she have a power outtage or something like that? Try resetting the cmos. It sounds like she has a short somewhere in her case though, which isn't good.

I agree. If you reset cmos and it still does that, then its a short thats probably running down the wire that connects to the start up and reset botton.
