No power?

Hello everybody,
I have a pretty interesting problem here..

I gave my old computer to a friend, and one day he was on it, and the keyboard plug came out (he dropped the keyboard by accident), and then the computer restarted.

after that, all it did was restart, and the nothing. the led on the motherboard wouldn't come on either, so it wasnt getting any power.

i figured the problem was the power supply, so he went and got a new on, and i put it in tonight.

the light now comes on, but the computer still won't go on.

any ideas?

its an asus a7v400-mx

i checked the wire going to the power switch, its okay..

The motherboard may have sustained some damage from the event that caused the PSU to fail. This may have been the keyboard plug being pulled out, but likely the keyboard thing and the PSU failure happened to coincide.
