I just bought all new parts to build my own computer and it will not turn on or make any noise. Here are the parts...

-ASRock 770 EXTREME3 AM3 AMD 770 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard
-AMD Athlon II X3 445 Rana 3.1GHz Socket AM3 95W Triple-Core Desktop Processor ADX445WFGMBOX
-Diablotek DA Series PSDA500 500W ATX Power Supply
-CORSAIR 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 Desktop Memory Model CMV8GX3M2A1333C9
-ASUS ENGT430/DI/1GD3(LP) GeForce GT 430 (Fermi) 1GB 128-bit DDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready Low Profile Ready Video ...
-Western Digital Caviar Blue WD3200AAKX 320GB 7200 RPM SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive -Bare Drive

All connections have been checked and swapped around. It is not a power supply failure problem. any suggestions?

it could be a grounding issue. Take the motherboard out of the case and reassemble everything on the mobo box. try it then, if it fires up, then you grounded to the case, if not, then its a power issue.

we have gotten the power supply to work on its own, so it is unlikely a power issue. I will go ahead and reassemble everything now...see if that does anything.

Diablotek is pretty much junk. Have you got the standoffs under the board in the right places? Got the 4/8 pin CPU power connector plugged in? Sure you have the case power button plugged into the right pins on the motherboard?

Okay, went to best buy...bought a better power supply...and it now works. Thanks for everyone's help!
