No response to D: Drive

I have a problem with my D drive and i have no clue where to start to fix the problem. I can not open the drive manually or from windows. The drive is hooked up correctly and all cables are plugged in tight. If anyone has any idea where to start it would be greatly appreciated!!

My friend built my computer. I found out the problem might have been with the MASTER BUS DRIVE 0581. I looked under device manager then under 'IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers' and the MASTER BUS DRIVE 0581 had a yellow exclamation mark next to it. I downloaded the driver for it and now the drive will recognize the info on the cd that i put in, but it wont let me run the autoplay.exe file? Any ideas on what I need to do?
