No Shutdown Sound

Hi,

I just installed Windows 7 Ultimate (64-bit) on a brand-new computer and installed all of the latest drivers.

All of the Windows sounds work except for the Exit Windows one. When I shutdown the computer, no sound plays, although in the sounds properties, the Test button plays the Exit Windows sound just fine. I have even tried changing the sound to different .wav files of all sizes, but to no avail.

Have you heard of such a problem?

Go back into sounds in control panel and make sure there is a sound scheme setup. Make sure it says windows default in the box.

If that doesn't work,make your own sound scheme and try to put some WAV file to play at shutdown.
