"No Signal Detected"

Hi guys,

Since yesterday I've been having this issue: when I turn my computer on the monitor says "No signal detected" as if it is in standby mode.

What I did/check:

1. I connected the monitor to a laptop and it works perfectly (with the cable to the video card)
2. I pulled the video card out and put it back in - didn't work
3. I connected via teamviewer and reinstalled the video card drivers - didn't work

What else could it be? Should I be considering buying a new video card because the problem is not in the monitor or cable obviously?

i get this problem sometimes, i just restart my computer until it loads.

id be interested to see what rig you have

sometimes i get the grey screen like a tv has no aerial connected and i found turning my tv off and on works
 
Put the video card in another computer to verify if the card works or not. You may have a bad video slot on the motherboard or some other issue.
