No signal reaching monitor, Why ??

When I turn on my pc, the pc its self starts up fine, but the monitor does not show a picture.

Here is what happens

I turn pc on, monitor light goes green
2 Secs later monitor light goes orange

Now the strange part, I pull monitor cable out of pc and monitor light goes green.

I have tried my other pcs on the monitor and its working fine.

Any ideas?

1. do you have integrated graphics or a video card?

i have a integrated graphics.

Did you mess with the drivers by any chance???
Like updating them or something?

no, but i did change the power supply unit. but when i tested it , it worked first time.

hmmmm, usually when this stuff happens its a graphics card problem, you need to make sure that you have got the latest drivers and that there is no connection problem (such as the I/O port is not loose or wiggly.

If you have a monitor you can use in the mean time, update your graphics card drivers.

And worst coming to worst you may have blown your graphics card which means you have to replace it.

What card do you have?

hey, just went out and bought a new graphics card and it works fine. i must have broke the motherboard grapics port when fitting the new power suppy some how.
